Pond

One Word Sunday

I had just finished taking a tour round Pimlico yesterday afternoon. Walking through Victoria station I was going to make my way to Kensington Gardens to take some photos of the Round Pond. It was a very hot day and my feet hurt, so I took the easier option and then caught the train home.

  1. Perfect unexpected response, Steve. Re-reading that you’re a London tour guide I have to tell you that some years ago when our younger daughter and I started in London on our way to a two-week or so trip, we took a Big Bus tour to a) give us something to do while we waited for our room to be ready, b) to help us stay awake, and c) to see some of the city and decide where we might like to go again and what we’d already seen. Our guide was excellent and we also got a lunch and a ride on the Thames, so it was a great value all-around.

    1. Busses are a great way to get round the city and look at places. You see more than catching the underground obviously 🙂 Glad to hear that your guide was excellent, I always think that if visitors leave London after a tour I’ve taken them on and they remember one thing that they didn’t know before the tour, then I’ve done my job.
